Ok, time for yet another, and finally last update. I went back to the hospital today for final testing and came away with a whole new diagnosis for the lump. All the tests have been done and it turns out it's what's called a "Rectus Abdominis Diastasis". They have a detailed article about it here ( http://www.newhealthadvisor.com/Diastasis-Recti-in-Men.html ) for those wanting to know more.

The basic explanation is where your six pack is, or your abdominal muscles spread apart ... and your abdominal contents to push forward. According to the doctor this is a common issue with people who are overweight as the weight in the stomach (mid section) causes the Abdomen to slowly spread open due to the weight acting as a wedge. It's also very common in woman where it's due to having a large fetus that does the spreading instead of weight. Ucenter Dress sleeved maid of honor wears that is modest and conservative

In short, since there is no pain and no danger from it nothing is to be done. If it was causing pain they could go in and surgically close the abs. But the doctor said doing that when there is no pain is considered cosmetic surgery and isn't covered by medi-cal. And so he said I would have this lump for the remainder of my life.

According to the hand out I just need to care not to have any direct impact to the lump as with a portion of my abdominal contents being exposed it's not protected by my ab muscles like the rest is. Shouldn't be a problem since I don't do anything that would cause me to be stuck in the chest.

But basically, no danger, no surgery needed. YAY!!!!! This whole mess has had me so stressed out. Glad to finally have it all figured out and get all the facts in. Can put this mess behind me. Thanks all for the prayers and well wishes with this mess. **hugs everyone** :)
