What if someone knew and kidnapped you to use it for crimes at your place of work? ...
It seems highly risky.
Is my imagination working overtime?...lol.
It just seems to sci-fi to me and more options for criminals to act upon.
It scares me. I remember seeing a Mormon flyer once at my doorstep that said microchips would be used in the future to buy food, carry our medical records, etc. This was 30 years ago.
When they used them on pets I was a bit disturbed by it but, its proved to be a good thing for finding lost pets.
However, this is different. Yes, it's encrypted but, criminals will find ways to overcome that I would think. They'd have access to workplace computers and medical records, personal info, etc. if they can get access to the chips in the peoples bodies.
